However, it occurred to me that it's likely the last chance my father will get to see a Bledisloe - he is pushing eighty, played both in Scotland and here to high level, loves the game, and attending sport and the Force in particular is/was one of our father/son things. So I thought I should maybe put my contempt for RA aside and floated the prospect with him at the cricket the other day. His response - "They can get stuffed...they want nothing to do with us, why on earth would we have anything to do with them?".

I'd add that last year aside, we've attended all but one Test in Perth since 1999 and I've typically been the organiser for at least half a dozen people. Done with that...
    What he said!
And can add to that all my family, cousins, bosses at work, work colleagues, and neighbours on our street- going to or watching Wallaby games/Super Rugby.......NADA.

If there's no pathway here for players to the top level (read IPRC eligible to wallabies at a minimum) then why bother with any interest in the Bledisloe?

Unless and until that changes, they won't be getting a red cent's worth of revenue in return.

My organising of 8 tickets per test are long gone. Still cant bare to look at my wallabies jersey let alone think of wearing it.

Although if RA approve IPRC, allow IPRC players to be eligible for "our" national team then i might consider, although the Rugbyroos are sounding interesting

I work with a Kiwi woman and she was saying that she is really excited about seeing the All Blacks at the new stadium. She has a lot of family in Perth and they will all go. I think it will be just us rusted-on fans that will boycott it, they'll probably end up getting a good crowd especially from all the Kiwis in Perth.

It'll be a blackout for sure, there are easy 60K Kiwi supporters in this town who don't care about anything other than watching the Bliks win.

Add to that the Kiwis who travel and you'll fill the stadium.

If you count the Wallabies supporters who will fly from the east, depending upon how the Wallabies are travelling when tickets go on sale that might be as many as forty or fifty people.

So-yeah, they'll get 60 thousand, but will that be an advertisement for RA and the Wallabies? I think not.

THe state government might get a tourism bonus because there'll be seats left vacant by all the Aussies in Perth, ready to be bought by out-of-towners. (obviously nobody from Melbourne, they'd have to spend more than $20 to go and watch the rugby.....)

Between fat fingers on a phone, poor editing, and terrible 4G where we are ATM, I'm surprised you found that post anywhere near lucid. But thanks for the info. You are a fountain of useful info, as usual.

The die hard Force fans will probably boycott but just look at the last test with all those part time supporters who turned up in gold asking why are you wearing Force jumpers! Kiwis and part timers will probably 3/4 fill Optus and FURA will have a big win by their standards. Depressing!

This is true, there were a lot who had no idea about the whole Super fiasco.

There is also a lot of people in Perth who would be keen on just seeing the All Blacks.

Three of us will be boycotting.

Perhaps anyone who really can't stay away should wear black even if they barrack for the Wallabies, a blackout would be the next best thing to a boycott.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

So pretty much everyone is boycotting at this stage.

But if Raelene gets her shit together with RA (endorse IRPC & Wallabies eligibility), then we're all going?
