Wallabies snatch victory at the death

Wallabies snatch victory at the death

A try from Wallabies interchange forward Stephen Hoiles after the full-time siren clinched a last-gasp 29-23 victory for Australia over Wales in their Test match at Telstra Stadium in Sydney on Saturday evening.

It was disappointing to see the Wallabies almost lose there, I'm bloody glad for that last try. It is relieving that the only two tries Wales could muster were from Australian errors (not from multiple phase play) and those errors were from new caps rather than the hardened veterans. Sharpie played really well too- I thought he deserved man of the match.

    I'm beginning to admire Connelly

He's right in a way - you can't go to the World Cup and the only option is
    9 Gregan, 10 Larkin 12 Gitts

To survive the RWC campaign Oz needs more depth especially at 12

Am guessing our own Mr Cross will get a shot at 12 next week and the scoreline will be a more convincing 20 pointer.

Loved Sharpeis Try - that man is pure class

Would be nice to see one of our best options at #12 actually make the field.
If he must continue with this charade then they need to address what everyone saw, Australia crabbed across the field all night like a game of touch.
IF Gits has to be #9 then Stanners has to be #12 to straighten them up.
There are so many reasons for Giteau NOT to be at #9 and barely any FOR him to be there, we have other players who are qualified to distribute the ball from the scrum base and who actually want to be playing in that position.
Let Giteau play in the positions that are natural to him and where he can carve up in matches like last night.
While I never actually want to see Australia lose a match, it is unfortunate that last nights last minute reprieve will cover many of the glaring cracks.
As is often quoted of one of the great Coaches, you learn more from a loss.
If Test Caps are to be devalued to selection trial mementoes then perhaps we need a few of those losses to give the current Squad a wake up call.
Both New Zealand and South Africa would have torn us apart last night and there is very little constructive to take forward out of our performance for next week with two matches before SA.

ahh.....but if some Coach never took Larkham from being a fullback....(and I remember the outcry from that) and put him at #10.....

Larkham wasn't arguably the best Fullback in the world at the time Gerry, nice try though
