It would come down to the representations made by Nasser to QC.
If this is a straight case of QC changing his mind then Nasser has done all he can as a manager and QC would have no recourse to seek damages from him.
But in the Days of our Lives conspiracy theory world, if Nasser made representations (i.e. verbally) to QC that led QC to believe he could get out of the contract without penalty (or only a minimum penalty) then QC would be able to seek damages for misrepresentation.
Why is it taking this long, with so much reported hyperbole, to sort out a simple contract dispute, either QC has signed or he hasn't? If he has there is a penalty to pay. The fact that very little has come out of the QC camp suggests that there is a signed contract and they are scrambling to get out of the mess that they have created.
Whether or not this is the case I do not know but where there is smoke there is fire and it gives me an excuse to make a tinfoil hat.
