MINING magnate Andrew Forrest has called for a re-examination of Rugby Australia’s involvement in the axing of the Western Force following a Sunday Times investigation into the controversial deal.
The Sunday Times inquiry revealed the Force never stood a chance in its battle for Super Rugby survival and that;
* RA was brokering a deal to save the Rebels two months before the decision to axe the Force was announced and helped orchestrate the sale of the Rebels to the Victorian Rugby Union.
* RA money helped clear debt to save the Rebels and sign the Force’s death warrant.
A senate inquiry was held into the cutting of the Force. Inquiry chair Senator Rachel Siewert confirmed she had received correspondence from Forrest, who described RA’s deal with the Rebels as farcical.

Bigger fish to fry is nonsense. It is not an excuse to avoid investigations they state they are looking in to. They have completed investigations that are chump change compared to the tens of millions involved with the RA's transactions and Imperium Unit Trusts there maybe ATO involvement too.

I'm curious. What are everyone expectations of the outcome of the ASIC Investigation?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

Possibly some compensation to various parties, key players banned from holding office, unlikely to see jail time, maybe some nominal fines
As will likely deal with the unfair representation on the board.

The Truth, and making sure everyone in the East knows and understands what happened to WA.
ATO to looking into all of the payments ARU/MRRU/VRU.
Don't forget, its the money, its always been follow the money. Everyone is talking about ASIC actions against ARU directors etc for how they dealt with WA, lets not forget how they dished out millions and where that money went ......
Embarrassment for the ARU (which will be like water off a duck’s back), possibly a call to overhaul structure of Rugby in Aus, a few negative mentions for complicit individuals and maybe a disqualification or two. Carpet lifted, whole messy deal swept under.
I still reckon deliberately misleading the Senate is where we should focus. Clyne could get a please explain and in up in the cells for that. Still a long shot, but for me a better chance of justice.
In the end it is what it is. We need to move on.
