    Unit trusts in Imperium

Would anyone consider buying in to them?

Could the questions be "Who held them? Did they personally pay for them? Did any unit holders apply to the trustee to cash them? If so how much were they paid"

I've got $1 to spare if the return is $6 million.

I want to buy a business for a dollar. Reminds me of when Ken Bates brought Leeds United for a quid

Buy a business for a dollar, get it's 13 million dollars of debt wiped from the books and then be given 6 million dollars ON TOP OF the 5 million dollars a year grant to ensure it remains afloat.

Cox is a genius businessman simply on the evidence that he was able to negotiate that deal!

Being allegedly insolvent at the same time. Reminds of that bs deal that Rangers did that led to that club wound up.

No wonder Twiggy thumbed his nose at him

I know SFA about privately owned/unit trust operations. What I wonder though, is whether some of this suspected skulduggery (and seemingly suspected by people way more knowledgeable than I am) might attract the interest of the ATO, if not ASIC or the AFP.

I haven't heard of unit trusts. Definitely heard of shell companies which it appears that ISM would have been set up as

To paraphrase Packer.. "You only get one ARU in your lifetime, and I've had mine"

    Duties & Powers of Trustee

to maintain proper books of accounts including minutes of meetings of the trustees/directors of the trustee company, lodge returns with ATO

Can't see them being sloppy - everything would've been sanitised very carefully before submitting.

But it would be interesting to see if the trustees/directors are registered.

Didn't Xenos say he tried to get ARU minutes at one point but apparently it wasn't made available to him which shocked him?

Would it not be the case with any potential trust that the minutes are either not available to be released or simply gone?
