Unless he has got himself citizenship he will have start his residency again as a foreign player. Van Wyk is in the same boat.

If I recall correctly Lourens went to high school in WA, so I imagine he has at least an Aussie Permanent Visa if not citizenship. So could be back for IPRC

    Did I miss anyone?
Won't be watching them though. I'd die a little more inside every time I saw one of our boys in Rebels blue.

I feel physically sick even thinking about them being at the Rebels-no way I could bear watching ANY super rugby ever again. I. Just. Want. Our. Boys. Back. Till then -nada.

I'm very worried about the number of local players leaving - do they know something we don't RE the Force/IPRC? I figure we can always replace the imported players but if the locally developed players are gone too, where does that leave us? Of course players need to earn a living but I have no confidence the ARU will let those players come back on a professional level.

They have to do something next year as the IPRC is likely to commence in 2019. Those on EPS contracts will become free agents again next year

Dust of your boots Beige, looks like we’re playing Premier grade next year.

Rebels - 11 plus the Coach
    Brumbies - 4
    Waratahs - 1
    South Africa - 2
    UK - 2
    Retired - 1

TWAS goes on about the Rebels have less players signed than this year which is bs. The Rebels used Sydney club players on short term deals to cover injuries, have signed players who command higher salaries next year and they have signed the whole Force coaching set up not just Wessels. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kevin Foote end up there too.

There are players like Scoble, Cowan, Robbie Coleman, Rona, Peni, Richie Arnold left without deals for next year.

Bar a couple of players the majority that have gone to the Rebels have signed multiple season contracts.

Arnold and pen are off to brumbies.
Coleman returned to Canberra for rehab but has no club for next year.
Rona still up in the air- either nrl, japan or stay. He has many offers

Interesting interview in the Canberra Times

    http://www.canberratimes.com.au/rugb...19-gzopr6.html

    This bit stood out:

"I sort of had an option at the Rebels but as soon as the Brumbies came through I was really quick to take it because I knew the opportunity that was at hand.
