Super Rugby - Round 2 Other games thread

Anyone who tipped the Force to finish last in australia hasn't seen the Rebels play or their ignoring it completely.

They've been abysmal so far this year.

The Rebels are interesting, every year the media go on about how great they are going to be to the point of more or less guaranteeing finals places but it never happens. Yet, pre-season, with no evidence, the same is spouted.

Keep in mind despite all the resources they have been handed it is debatable that they have even been as successful as us, supposedly the mistake of Australian rugby.

I have heard stories in the past of other codes etc. trying to increase exposure or reduce expose of rival codes by paying off media outlets. It may be a bit tin-foil hatty but come on, what the hell are these so called pundits watching?

At least when the Kiwi teams rogered the last year we were competitive for 60 mins. The Rebels, like the honeybadger said, are like the kid who fell out of the tree!

Have the Rabble produced any local players? Or are they like The Storm. In 20 years since they stole the Western Reds I only know of one - Mahe Fonua. The Reds were only around for 5 minutes but at least they had 3 WA players get to First Grade.

Melbourne is the sporting capital of Australia, as long as that sport is Aussie Rules.

Give the Rebels their due...they were competitive for the first 10 minutes or so. They were 6-0 up at that stage...!

    I've fixed it for you...

(Hint: 71 is more than 70)

They have a handful - I think 4 of the subs in their first match were 'local' players, or at least I couldn't find any information about them being from Sydney or Brisbane (or Perth) clubs and schools

I'm more interested in the brumbies, St hey looked pretty poor against the saders, but it was in Canterbury and that curse can hit anybody.

Their performance against the sharks will be a great indication of the size of the task for us next week.

I'd love to finish the week second in the conference.
