Last night's we had a great opportunity to meet the coaches for the 2017 season.
The new coaching team appear refreshing and invigorated and ready to take on the huge challenges in front of them.
They spoke openly and honestly.
Foote and Wessels have been together for a while and Berne seems to be gelling in after just a week or two in the job.
Baraket popped in for a quick session earlier in the week and will be on board from the new year, with Gaffeny on board as an attack advisor.
The coaching team have a plan and ideas to get the best out of the group, with an emphasis on fitness and skills, and hopefully it will tansfer into results on the field.
It was a bit concerning to note that Adam may still require surgery on his injury which may keep him out longer than expected.
The signing of Tatafu Polota Nau cannot be underestimated and it was eveident last night how much of a boost it has given the club.
No evening would have been complete without Hodgo being there and it was great to see him and catch up with him, and he too looks forward to the year ahead.
Again a big thank you to the Force for giving their time and again reaching out and enagaging us.![]()
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
Thanks for the report Tazz

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Had a quick chat to Sinderberry on the side and he doesn't expect a decision on Super Rugby format for 3 months.
Don't expect any change to the salary cap system either.
Next question we put to Sinderberry was the status of 2017 playing gear and merchandise and apparently Sinders spoke to the receivers at BLK and most of the gear whilst provided as a contra deal is sitting on a dock somewhere and the receiver has indicated RugbyWA will have to pay for the gear to get it off the dock.
Only early days on that front though and no other supplier has been lined up at this stage.
Don't think they have the $$ to be able to do that GIGS. The 'payment' to BLK was done on a contra basis, not a cash basis so it would be money they hadn't budgeted for.
It never rains; it pours :-((

B*gg*r, keep forgetting about these!
Good to hear the coaches being positive, although an "emphasis on fitness and skills" does sound like the line we get told every year in pre-season.
If the kit has been made and is sitting waiting to be collected, that's all well and good, but how many of each jersey are included? If jerseys get ripped (back-rowers are especially good at this), and mid-season an order for more is required, can another maker use the BLK design? Would they want to?
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
The saddest thing I we would be advertising a company in receivership.. BLK .. I guess the time frame for new gear could be short as they would not be allowed the same design due to copyright.. Poss situation is that all ther clubs that are in the ame situation will be looking to and suppliers might be pushed to fill orders... Just have to wait and see..
Easiest way to deal receivers on this sort of thing and wait it out a bit till the dust settles...who else besides the WF would want to buy it? Its value is diminished. Just Offer them the nominal sum of $1 for the container of gear and run with it. The reciever will not want to be stuck with the demurrage cost.
It was a good evening with positive vibes coming from the coaches. I'm looking forward to the new season! The situation with BLK is the last thing we need at this point though. Mark Sinderberry said he thinks SANZAR and the ARU have been surprised by the support the Own the Force campaign has been getting. He also mentioned the petition and said he had spoken to Exile whom he said had alot of good ideas! Mark said to keep up the good work making people aware of the situation on social media etc
