The reason we were the most under trained side related to travel time not allowing as much training as other sides, the next years draft suggests we will be in as bad shape with the amount travelling we have to do again.

Thats crap. Every team in the comp travels.

How many big moments in games did we fluff this year? It wasnt because of the travel it was because we didnt get it right on the traing track therefore we didnt get it right on the field. The guys are pro athletes not pro models.

I agree wholeheartedly Kala, but the reality is that the Reds job was advertised first and it carries with it a longstanding history of the ARU bending over backwards to keep the organisation happy (possibly something to do with the organisation's representation on the ARU board)

The Force job ad went out significantly afterwards and the Force have a long history of being shown the shitty end of the stick by everybody who is anybody in Aussie rugby.

We will not compete with the Reds on a level playing field, therefore the decision will come down to money. At the end of the day, the one holding the purse strings is the exact same organisation which has a majority representation of the other guys on it's board. They will NOT beat the salary package offered by the Reds to entice a guy away from Queensland and to Perth. As a matter of fact, I assume they will subsidise the payments for a guy to lure him from Perth to Queensland.

But that's just the cynic in me talking!

This next coaching appointment will make or break this club and if Sinderberry allows us to be a dumping ground for someone else's leftovers than Sinderberry should fall on his sword and resign. We may not be able to attract the top of the top players, so we should not compromise on our choice of coach. Our last coach was the leftovers of the Cheika or Foley decision made by the Tahs and how did that turn out? One mid table season and a bunch of cutlery to make soup. We need a highly experienced coach who is going to transform our rugby programme into a world class environment players want to be a part of while also embracing the importance of the local premier grade comp, the 2 things Foley failed at.
There are 2 major decisions that led to Foleys demise, one is that he wrapped the players too much in cotton wool. Apparently according to GPS data collected by the ARU shows that we were the most undertrained team not only in Australia but the whole competition. No wonder we only had 40-60mins of rugby in us this year. Secondly he would not allow Force players to get game time in the local comp. How the hell do expect to engage the local rugby community by snubbing it?
This is why we need th most experienced, qualified and hungry coach we can get, not someones leftovers. We went down that path once hopefully we learnt our lesson.

I agree, i think the ARU should offer the job to their preferred candidate and give them 48 hours to accept or move on to the next one. why do we have to wait for QLD to finish their process (when they hired Matt O'connor to take over from Graham in the first place)

Also think Sinderberry should resign anyway. Any other CEO that has overseen the downfall of the company they are responsible for would already have gone because they basically allowed for it to happen or didn't act soon enough to change the tides.
He should have resigned when we lost Emirates & failed to get a new naming right sponsor.

Us being the most under trained team is interesting - can't say i'm surprised, the evidence was out on the field ever week.
Do you have the data? Do you know by how far we were lacking in the training?

Surely we can blame the cramping and players going down exhausted in the first game of the season (you know, the one after that preseason they do every year) can be blamed on all that travel we (hadn't) completed?

That's untrue, the reason our GPS data was so much below everybody else's is because Sinderberry made them train with the GPS turned off to save batteries.

I thought they hadn't paid the bill so the hire company turned the GPS off?

Kala - you make some very good points. But lets be fair for the moment - Queensland sacked Richard Graham 3 games in to the 2016 Season. Coach Foley was shown the door some 10 weeks later. The nature of the beast says that we and the Reds are going to be chasing the same coaching staff. Will we end up with the Reds leftovers - possibly. Unless we look in different places.

Inside Sauces (Marto ) are saying Nick Stiles will get the nod. His preference is Todd Blackadder. Wonder if he's even applied.

P.S. He also said that the Force just can't compete financially to attract players (geez never figgered that one out) and should be wound up. Never heard that from over there before either.

Not doubting your source but where did you get the info about the GPS data because if it's true the strength and conditioning bullshitters should also cop a bullet not that we didn't know they weren't performing their core roles to begin with.
Clean out that needed to happen has to be absolute and without mercy.
I agree fellow Kalaman that this next coaching appointment is going to be the most important signing in the Force's history and if it isn't the right man for the job then we won't have a team to support, last roll of the dice, end of story.
Just hope that the cheapest option is the best option thing doesn't rear it's ugly head.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

So he is saying the ARU can't compete financially with other franchises after all they own the Force.
