I thought we had a full moon last night -(which would explain the huge amount of fruit loops at large) ... It turns out the moon was only a "Waning Gibbous" 98% of full.
Can't wait for tonight.

Yeah, waning means it's getting smaller - Tuesday night was the full moon.

And studies show there is no correlation between moon phases and mental health, or between moon phases and the menstrual cycle.

Tonights 'Waning Gibbous' is 95%
I now know that Gibbous is "More than half but less than fully illuminated" when talking about the moon.
In non astronomical contexts it could mean "Characterized by convexity; protuberant" or "Having a hump; humpbacked".

Still a plethora of loonies out there, despite what the studies suggest.
