This thread is sounding very much like the weekly post-Force drubbing rants. And it's only week 1.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Sack the Coach!
Bring in Tom Fearn?
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
I'm just wondering what to do next weekend?
Might go and play with the Sharks in the ocean, might even watch WCE, stare at another rainbow, take mum shopping! They all sound more fun than watching the ABs applying Vaseline to the bum of a Wallabie!
May the FORCE be with you!
Hahahaha! Listen to you all wannabe supporters!
Losing to Tonga in the early 70s was labelled a "crisis" that led to a shake-up of the game in this country.
Over the last 6 years we've lost to Scotland and Samoa at home, the Irish at the 2011 RWC, been given a thumping in the third Lions test, whitewashed by England in a home series, and received numerous blow-outs at the hands of the All Blacks that have made us look like a Tier 2 Nation.
So, when does this become regarded as a crisis requiring a shake-up, like the result against Tonga was?
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
I'm just trying to understand how a team that last year won the rugby championship and made it to the World Cup final could slip so far!! What the hell happened? Maybe they need to just watch how the all blacks play for hours on end! Their defensive line is a thing of beauty ours looks like we don't know our arses from elbows!!
I watched the Boks V Pumas game and I don't even think the Wallabies could even stopped a 25 to 35 point grubbing by either of these teams... They play fat hard rugby with no real game plan.. Play to the moment watch the play and change the plan as you go.. The wallabies just don't change a thing they can't see other team weaknesses.. They look like they are not a team just single players playing the game..
The ARU had a great chance to blood the best Australia has in young up and coming players in the England tour to blood them for this and did not now it will be like throwing kids to the sharks to change things..
Australia is at its best when it turns to youth, bringing players back from Europe who, with the greatest respect have more of their best days behind them than in front of them is not the answer. Pathetic performance last night on top of a 3-0 series loss to England.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
My 2 bobs worth is we now have to stop relying on the so called elitism Bullshit of the school gps system. It obviously hasn't worked on this generation of players. Typical with most of the Australian teams as well we are to structured the players have no idea how to change a game plan on the go or read a play. Just like some of the Olympians time to stop patting them on the arse and saying "good try" fark me you failed at your job! Time get hard on these guys can't aim up then fuck off back to your mum. Deadset no hunger to kill the bloke in front of them.
There are many reasons we lost.
One factor - not the only one by any means - is that we picked the wrong players.
Polota Nau is miles better than Moore. Alaatoa and Sio should be the starting props.
Coleman and Arnold should be the locking pair.
Timani at 6 has mongrel and height. Pocock (as captain) at 7 with MacCalman at 8.
DHP was caught out a couple of times in defence yesterday. Playing him at fullback with Folau at 13 is worth a try as Kuridrani was crap.
Number 10 is a problem - Foley does his best but is not the most the most naturally talented player - and he can't kick.
I have no answers for wing or inside centre, only to say that bringing Quade back would be a disaster. Maybe Tom English on the wing? If Morahan could tackle, he'd be another consideration.
Hopefully Toomua recovers.....
