It's 3:53 am and my son and I are going Christmas shopping. I never would of thought that I'd go out on Black Friday especially at 4:00am. There are some great deals and I really don't have anything else to do. So off we go. I only hope that what I'm after is still in stock when I get there.

Black Friday would be any Friday that's not spent in !!! Today was Black Friday for me too.....had to 'endure' the WA Sportswoman of the Year Award!!! A great event, despite the high levels of oestregen in the room!!!!

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving here. It's the offical start of the Christmas shopping season. Most stores open at 6:00 am and several at 4:00 or 5:00. Many stores have lines form the night before. They have great deals for 4 or 5 hours with a limited supply. 42" Panasonic plasma HD TV's were going for around $800. 32"HD LCD for under $400.

I got 2gb of ram for a laptop for $47. A TomTom GPS for $104, and a 500gb hard drive for $57. 30gb Zunes were $79 but sold out before I could grab one.

The shopping centre I work in has done the 24 hour open sometime before Xmas in past years but as yet thankfully there are no plans to do it this year... as it I have offered to work Christmas Eve and the week Boxing Day thru to New Years Eve, eep!
