My folks once sat next to him at an awards dinner, WA Citizen of the Year or the like.
Totally wasted on them as they aren't Rugby people
At least Mum had the presence of mind to at least get her menu autographed...
They were both very impressed with him as a man and as a speaker so I guess it was nice they had good company for their dinner.
On reflection, Fitzy was probably relieved not to have to talk Rugby to them all night haha

I wanted to ask him why there were so many Tahs in the Wallaby squad but as it was a "literary" event I thought I had better not.I did ask him if he would be writing a biography on Stirling Morlock next after writing books on the two previous RWC winning captains. He said not as the winning captain so I asked him what his tip was and he said it should be NZ. Mind you he was pretty woeful at S14 tipping on the Rugby Heaven site.
