did anyone else have to go to their cousin's wedding reception after the game? a wedding reception where almost every guest was english... i had to sit next to my 3rd cousins who were having wonderful conversations about how jolly good it was that england had won. I was one unhappy camper... sitting quietly, trying my best not to slap any of my relatives... wasn't easy i tell you!

I was at an old school mates wedding during the Wallabies V All Blacks Semi Final at the Tumut RSL Club! A tiny little country RSL with a hall (where reception was), main bar (where the screen was), and sports bar (where the locals were). Imnaged to keep my Wallabies jumper off until the game started, then left the hall for the main bar, doned the jumper and watched until being dragged by my sister back to the table, only to have the table full of grand parents hassle me for score updates etc, luckily I was towrads the back of the hall where the bar was and the barman was giving me updates that were verbally passed through the reception whilst the speeches were being done. Eventually I slipped out agian, only this time with half the reception behind me to watch the last half. And what a last half it was

The moral to the story is if you are planning a big day event, check the rugby calender first.

LarryNJ an RSL means (Returned Services League) which is where our old diggers drink cheap beer and looked after in their later years. It's a shme we don't have many of them in WA because our very own war hero TLH would fit right in

I`ve spent many a day in Tumut, and been to the Rissole a few times as well. Once DJ`d for Mondo rock/ Daddy cool gig, got the poster as well.
As for forgetting too easily, that isn`t necessarily true, the fact is ,post WRC he seemed to not try anything new, and god forbid anyone who tried to try something new, they were generally frowned on, and made to play a regimented, predictable style of rugby. Take a look at the Wallabies now, many a player is taking the bit between the teeth and running with it, ie. Loti, Giteau, Latham, Mortlock, Holmes, Paul, by christ, even Gregan is playing with more life again....
Maybe it`s fresh blood in the team revitalising it, but Eddie could`nt produce this, so Adios Eddie

ahhh...the Tumut Rugby Club...I once packed down there in the front row against a bloke by the name of Michael Hunt....when he introduced himself prior to the first scrum I said words to the effect "oh your parents must be cruel and the barmaids at the pub hate you when mates ring up for you there Mike..."......he proceeded to give me a towling for the rest of the match...but we had a happy beer....Cheers Mike Hunt..

This isn't about Mike Hunt... It's never been about Mike Hunt.

Back to eddie if its ok with Mike York and Wayne

I dont know much about nothin, but I do know this.

When Rod McQueen (bless him) retired, the Trophey cabinet was chockers, there was nothing left to win, when Eddie retired the only thing left in the cabinet was dust marks from where the tropheys used to sit.

Eddie Jones has about as much credibility as our own Coaches Hair Brush.

I love Eddie "Mr. Useless Statistics" Jones... usually he's along the lines of
"If you had watched the game it would have appeared that we dropped the soap and got well pounded by the Kiwis, but actually, on paper, we were
statistically very competitive blah blah blah".

though I certainly don't take him seriously..
