Some additional information from a mate who was the operations Manager of Shute Shield Club.
Apparently all funding to Shute Shield clubs ceased in the first year of Pulvers tenure as CEO of ARU.
As far as I know now - anything and everything that the Shute Shield Clubs do. They fund and support themselves. Including their TV deal.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
One of the biggest problems we have here in NSW is that if we forfeit a match we are up for a $500 fine for forfeiting.
So - we can turn around and say third grade arent playing this week - they havent paid their rego. But then Subbies Rugby fines us for not fielding a team. Damned if we do and Damned if we dont.......

On Top now is the $12 fee for all players that play in NSW , not as bad as Qld ( $20 Jr's , $28 seniors)
Also, Hore had the spine to pull what was NSW Rugby funding into the wallets for a indulgence that is the SS on 7TWO into only NSW and Qld ( $300 TO $400 Grand)
Must Subbies and Country hate the SS clubs with a passion , stealing players, putting nothing into the grassroots and most Subs and Country people don't watch the SS, they are watching their own clubs on the day!
What's the latest goss on the Emus in 2018?
So these NSW and Qld clubs must be thrilled that the ARU knocked back $50 mil from Twiggy a few months ago, because it "came too late" and then poured the "savings" (+ an extra $1mil ) from axing the Force into paying for a bloated Rebel's team list, on top of the millions squandered on them for the last 7 years.
When are these clubs in NSW and Qld going to have a revolution and get rid of the ARU board? Bakkes and Exile? Surely it must happen?
