One bad game and you guys are ready to crucify. I know who's pathetic, and it aint Mitchell. You are acting like a bunch of rugby Jihadists.
this is what forums are for and as far as i can see most of it is constructive. When it goes right i am sure these same contributors will be raging with praise

I thought Drew Mitchell's performance was surpassed only by the sub-standard refereeing, though ithink we w ere lacking a bit for ideas at times when attacking.
DON'T RUB UM COUNT UM...........
To be fair, Fulvio - most are directed at his game play last night rather than at him, but I do understand what you are saying and I don't want to see it degenerate either.
Have faith in the Coach folks, he will do what is best...
but... There is no denying Drew had a shocker of a game, and thats all it was - one game (his Samoa game was less than spectacular, but OK).
I too think Sheps should be wearing 15, but I thought before last night.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
in that case fulvio, do you think mitchell played well, would you keep him at 15 or replace him with sheps? do you expect users of this forum not to speak their minds? after all were a bunch of jihadists!Originally Posted by fulvio sammut
He did have a shocker and he knows it. It will be on his mind for the season and probably beyond.

He really did have a shocker. I think many TWF'ers (myself included) have a soft spot for Sheps. On form he deserved the first shot a 15, I reckon. He was one of the better players last night so he should get a chance to re-stake his claim in the Republic.
Mitchell did have a shocker and he would be extremely upset about his game.
He's a quality player and will bounce back.Shep and him should of swapped positions early on when the signs were not good. Shep is the only man for 15 in my opinion, same as Stanners aint no winger!
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
Agree on the first, not the second.Originally Posted by The Lone Hydrangea

That's not to say he's not also an outstanding Centre as well these days, either.
I'll agree Shasta he did show a fair bit of toe last night.

You have to feel sorry for the guy, First game in the #15 jersey and he blew it, well done Cam Shepard you are a fair contender for the vacant fullback position.
am really surprised that Drew didn't get put on the bench for Junior - prehaps one of you can explain - we all have days when nought goes right - hopefully he'ill redeem himself againest the stormers
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Let me put things straight.I wasn't at the game and I accept what seems to be the collective opinion that Mitchell had a bad game.My objection is not to people saying so, but in their saying so in a semi abusive and denigrating manner before the player has sufficient opportunity to put things right himself. One swallow doesn't make a summer. One bad game in oppressive conditions for a club he's been involved in for 5 minutes doesn't make a Wallaby "shithouse" as someone described him.
I know we can all get upset when our team loses, and I'll admit to being the worst offender when it happens, but surely there must be some perspective in all this. Henjak was being bagged all offseason and from what I hear he put in a really good game last night. It must prove something.
Anyway, heres to the next match and a resounding win.
the way he fumbled the ball... surely mitchell is the new digby. Ironically Digby will probably take his place in South Africa.
It will be interesting to see what the coach does in South Africa with team placings.
