Colin Barnett was patron of Cottesloe rugby club a few years back so he does have a background in rugby.
That was 13 years ago though, so i don't know if he still is Cottesloe rugby club patron.
To his credit though he did grant the redevelopment of NIB, which Labour never committed to and backs RWA behind the scenes in certain matters too.

Labor, through Bob Kucera promised $25 million (I think) to redevelop the stadium as part of the original bid. Wonder what happened to that. Perhaps someone should ask Colin.

That $25 million was reallocated for the Kitchener Park redevelopment

Did everyone receive the letter from Rugby WA giving the update on the stadium...and hoping we will all be there for the first game..Not sure when it arrived... I don't check the mail everyday....
