Took his chance brilliantly and hopefully this gives him the confidence to really kick on with his career which has been average so far.
It was great watching Smiffy and Marsh really grind the England bowlers into the ground. It was also great watching Joe Root shown up for the average captain he truely is.
Hopefully this morning's rain will be about it for today. And also hopefully Smith will unleash Marsh after he gets in again today, Smash another quick 100 or so and declare. More rain predicted tomorrow. Might be good for the draw betters but the whitewash is on if they can win this.

I'd say as many runs as they can in the morning session (125-150 to get a lead of 275-300) and declare at lunch to give 5, possibly rain-affected sessions to bowl England out.
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Worst the weather is supposed to be this arvo/evening according to BOM. I’d say bat until close to lunch and given still 6 wickets still in hand and some capable batsman in the hutch the Aussies can go the tonk.
Could be some fireworks this morning!
Booyah!!!
