1984, expectations and Mockingbird are some of the best books I've ever read.

If you don't appreciate the Orwell you don't know enough about science fiction (or possibly the origins of the cold war)

Yeah, and Reg Reagan's "This is my Life" didn't even make the list. That's a dead set outrage.

List is pretty shit. Some deadest classics in there but some shockers as well.
To kill a mockingbird & cloudstreet are the only 2 books I haven't finished. Expectations is in my top 10 though

Have searched some other "top 100" lists after this tonight and found basis every other one is a lot better. The goodreads one is more comprehensive:
    http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...ls_of_All_Time
Also came across their 100 books to read, this has some awesome ones on it - and I think I'm gonna make an effort to tick a fair few more off that one this year
    http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/6..._Readers_Picks
    & http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...before-you-die
Lots of crossovers In those 3 lists. But some amazing titles

I'd have all Dahl's books there though not just Charlie & the chocolate factory (BFG is his best work imo)

One day I'll have my library of first editions! Haha

The Clifton Chronicles - Jeffrey Archer should be there
    and
    Rich Man Poor Man...

I have quite an extensive library (an I am very privileged to own a couple of first editions )and I have to admit I do not own many that are on that list..

Stupidly listening to GGR podcast yesterday as they rubbished the Force and how they have no attacking ability yadayadayadayada - depressed all over again. Do the Force realise how much sniggering we have to put up with in the real world?

Having to wait another eight months for the release of Star Wars Episode 7. Eldest is already driving me batty! But I like the title..maybe it is a portent of the 2016 season!
