Hey Ecky...do you guys get a jersey here sometime ??
Yep. The TJs for the home games are local refs. And the assessor is a local as well. The ref for round 1 is from the ES but Round 2 Andrew Lindsay is now based in WA. He is, I understand, on ARU contract and has done some S14 stuff and above. I believe he did the match at Paly tonight.Originally Posted by travelling_gerry

Excellent.......![]()
I also imagine that, when a Spirit home game is televised, the local union also appoints the TMO. I'm assuming the Spirit's first two rounds aren't televised.
Your right Ecky, no TV on first 2 home games.
But - great to hear that local refs will be TJ's.See, another benefit of the ARC to local competitions. Improving Ref standards - exposure to new laws ETC.
Just make sure we get good crowds and prove its worth before ARU let Sydney doomsayers steam roll them.
i agree, get down there and support it, im going and im dragging everyone else i know
I can't wait, it is near S14 with additional interest generated by the chance of seeing the next big thing. I just wish it followed close on the heels of the S14 as I kind of get the sense that, for anyone not a complete tragic, their interest has moved to other things. We may just have to make it huge on our own.
I'll miss the first local game but will see the other 3.
