So, apart from all the other stuffing around, we know that at least one team is running out this year wearing Western Force blue... so what's the goss? I've seen elsewhere that the team is already starting to train - will our local 7s stars be pulling on a jersey? Who's in the squad? When do we get fixtures? Will they be curtain raisers for other games?
I note the Brumbies have put their fixtures up but couldn't find a complete set for the competition elsewhere. Guess I'll be able to get to the first game for the WA side (Mar 3/4 vs Brums W), and it won't be with the Super M game since the Brums are away against the Reds on the Friday.
The other question is what name the team will be playing under.
I heard a whisper Twiggy was subsidising some of the girls to train full-time for the tournament?
Would that be those that were picked up by the Future Force, or some other subset?
I remember hearing that in the release about the administration being resolved. Not sure exactly how the cash flow works though, the girls are officially part of future force, which twiggy has committed funds to (significant funds I assume) I don't know whether there is any itemised breakdown of Twiggys support which makes sums conditional on certain kpis or not, but since hodgo has an office at rugby hq I'd thing that Twiggys opinion will be well heard there anyway.

From the RugbyWA Community Facebook page - only info I've seen since the previous posts on the thread...

Is there any fixture list available yet, would be good to be able to get and support our only Force Team for now![]()

The post referred to Western Australia but not the Force.
Why wasn't the Force Super W team included in the Brisbane 10's?
The RA probably fed Duco a pack of lies. WA mens and womens teams should be there.
Duco should have told the RA that there are plenty of players without a contract that could play for WA at the tournament. That includes Robbie Coleman and the Badge who have both played 7s for Australia. The RA were probably worried that WA might have a chance of pushing for the back end of the tournament. Just look what the Brumbies did last year with less star players than the Reds and Tahs.

The original plan to include a WA team in the men's tournament was dropped when all the f*ckery between RA and RugbyWA was continuing to drag on and they had to get on with organising the tournament. I assume something similar happened with the women.
