I notice that 2018 memberships for the Melbourne Rebels will not go on sale until 26 October 2017.
Memberships for the other three Australian Super Rugby franchises have been on sale since the second half of September and last year, Western Force renewals for 2017 went on sale around the middle of September 2016.
Given that the Melbourne Rebels need to dramatically increase their paid membership numbers and revenue in 2018, it seems strange that the sale and renewal of 2018 memberships for the Melbourne Rebels is starting so late this year.
Does anyone know or can anyone hazard a guess as to why the Melbourne Rebels are so late in starting the sale of their memberships for 2018?
They have to find someone to actually sell one to first??

Why would Rugby WA and our sponsors go to Melbourne to watch the Rebels first match??? And why would they think playing the Rebels would be a good idea!! Please NO!!
I hear you Jules. I’m hoping the press meant Minderoo, not RugbyWA!

[QUOTE=Alison;451779]I hear you Jules.
Its our new chairman John Edwards and I think one other (Mark Sinderberry?).
Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. Its important NOT to piss everyone off.
Remember we are trying to get a game against them this year (maybe) along with Crusaders, Brumbies, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.
At least it gives the impression we are 'trying' to move on. I am sure they will be barracking for Qld!!!
[QUOTE=UAUdiver1959;451784] The Rebels are not welcome in Perth. If RugbyWA is trying to organize a match against them then that will be viewed as a slap in the face of many, many Force supporters. I suggest RugbyWA listens to public opinion and cans this game as it will most likely be boycotted. Matches against the Brumbies or Reds would be much more appealing to the fans.

[QUOTE=The InnFORCEr;451786] I never said that i explicitly talk on your behalf or anyone elses but a quick look at other threads and Facebook groups shows which opinion most have and most opinions are against this match happening. If it does happen, you will be spoilt for choice of seats.
[QUOTE=Kalahard;451787] We'll see about that, I think actions will be stronger than words when the day comes. Not turning would give the impression we don't really care for rugby in WA our beloved Force. Only time will tell. Of the say 12,000+ that turned up at the last home game against the Tahs, I don't think comments of a handful of posters on TWF and a few more on Facebook would represent the options of a majority of that crowd. Just my opinion.
How do you explain to your young kids who want to go and see their hero's and keep their own future dreams alive that cant go??
