Wallabies win 32-8
Bit sloppier in the second half but a pretty impressive win to kick the tour off.
The grand glam is still alive! :/
I wonder what that Irish victory bodes for the Wallabies' grand slam aspirations?
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!

Wallabies are getting closer to an 80 minute outing. First half was great. All the ball, All the territory but again did not score the points we should of. Could of been 40 pt margin at halftime had we executed better. Wales were well off the pace for the first half, reminded me of how the poms started against us vs how we started the test season in June. Second half Wales looked to compete harder and lifted fo the first 10-15 of the half which stemmed the gold flow. Aussies defence held strong forcing some turnover ball, one beautifully capped of by DHP, and a couple of excellent try savers by DHP and Frisby.
Overall a good start to the tour, although Wales were a bit rusty, with some very sharp attacking play from the Wallabies backed up by some great defense.
My personal highlight was seeing how hard Arnold, Coleman and Timani hit the gainline carrying. Some thumping colisions to get the Wallabies going forward at will.
Best we've seen from the Wallabies for a long while. Nice to have a W along side the superiour stats for a change. Those unfinished try's and points left behind due to poor kicking Makes for frustrating viewing!
May the FORCE be with you!
just realised that I hardly saw Pocock or Fardy get stuck into the breakdown, I think putting Poe at 6 was a rope-a-dope by Chieka, almost every welsh tackle ball no one tried to compete for the ball. but there were always 2-3 Welshmen trying to pilfer on our tackles, this may have been the reason why they were playing so narrow and why we kept finding holes in their defence. Don't think it will work next week but we will see.
Best football I've seen from the wallabies in years in the first half.
Adam and Rory hunting together and starting to absolutely own their spots! Hitting the line hard and consistently driving ball runners backwards in defence, very, very good.
I was happy with the way they coped with the rush defense. Can only wonder why they didn't opt for the tactic against England and NZ earlier in the year. NZ would have adjusted but maybe it could have troubled the Poms. That was the main factor in opening those first half holes, along with some great running lines and slick execution - most of the time.
Eddie Jones and the other coaches have seen it, obvious though the tactic is, and will be working to counter it.
Got a bit sloppy after half time, trying to offload when going backwards. A kick to the corner may have served better. It gave the momentum shift Wales needed to get over the stripe. But pleasing to see the Wallabies roll up the sleeves and scrap hard in defense to deny them any more.
A good start.

The skill set improvement with ball in hand of our forwards is what impressed me. Did we not have a skills coach before or if we did, what the hell was he doing? I think another 12 months with that guy in the coaching team(can't remember his name) and we will be taking a big step to beating the ABs
