This particular example Bally I have no problem with . A player who has bounced between the grades all year and is qualified for the finals legally, thats the way the cookie crumbles and it is indeed the best for the team. My specific example that i experienced and that a player experienced the season before, the player was left out for a guy that hadn't played a game all season, had played in the past for the club, was at the time a good player and under normal circumstances would get the nod . However, what occurred was underhanded and sends the wrong message to players who want to work hard to improve but get shafted at what should be an honour to represent your team you have played for all year . It says more about the character of the coach/club than the player.
So now Gunny shows his face on another thread unfortunately he is now trying to make a joke out of this debacle after promising to begin an investigation. When Ginger Nuts called your bluff and gave you a name you just went to ground.
Would love Nail Man to contact RWA and prove his accusations.
Neddies would have some very uncomfortable squirming pulsating rectums about this because the whole rugby fraternity are talking about this with a great deal of mirth.
The only other scenario is Nail Man is actually a double agent who has been planted amongst the TWF local rugby men by Paly to take the heat of their own rather dubious qualification process.
Stay tuned as RWA vow to bring these perpetrators to justice and severely admonish those guilty parties with a very stern talking to.
Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
Two names Westie. Cowan and Wykes.
How many games did they play for Wests to qualify for your finals not that long ago?
I know Buck.
And that didn't make it right.
Think of the poor players who were denied a grand final spot to make way for two ring-ins ....
The Queen of England once visited Africa, and was introduced to a mighty Village Chief.
She was very impressed with this Chief, and on her departure she presented him with a beautiful carved and gilded throne.
The Chief was very proud of his new throne. No other chief had anything like it.
Being fearful of it being stolen, and of anyone but himself sitting on it, he kept it tied securely to the roof of his hut.
One day, as he was having his dinner under his throne, a big wind came up and dislodged the hut's roof, causing the throne to fall down on top of him.
The moral of the story is, people in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones ...
Unfortunately cant be proved. The team sheets list the said player for the required number of matches. Besides , they lost the grand final that year so it means squat, justice was served. Just think it needs to be bought to the attention that this shit goes on ,clearly not only at Nedlands , and it should be stopped. Its disgusting.
As an example, you get a call out of the blue from an old school mate to help out. You play - no training, around 7 months since you last played. You have no idea what a registration was or a team sheet etc, and sports medicine an education wasn't even heard of.
You suffer what is a career ending injury. 10 years later you guess that you were probably listed as another player, but that doesn't irritate more than the fact that the opposition physio is the only person who helped you. Many years of operations, physio, and ongoing pain later you know what a fool you were at the time.
There are 23 names on a team sheet so very easy to manipulate the system without even being at the ground
The amount of players that double up between 3.4 and 5ths would show how the numbers are down across the social end of the comp
RWA are aware of this but do nothing across all grades as they are to busy sending out $100 fines so moe interested in penalising clubs for a financial gain
Fulvio would remember 1986 grand final when needies flew T Fearn in A week before grand final to kick paly of the park
So has been going on longer than Wests use of the rules made up on the run by the (dis) organisation know as RWA
