The NSW Waratahs' Super Rugby campaign must continue without key forwards Will Skelton and Tolu Latu.
On Monday Latu was suspended for four weeks and Skelton for two for their lifting tackle on Crusaders second rower Sam Whitelock in Sydney last Saturday.
A SANZAR appeals committee on Thursday night confirmed the punishments, ruling the the players had failed to prove that the sanctions were manifestly excessive or wrong in principle.
Wallabies forward Skelton travelled to South Africa with the team on Tuesday while Latu stayed at home.
Uncapped Dave Porecki, who plays for Sydney club Manly, was added to the squad after Latu's suspension was imposed.

In other breaking news, last night on Rugby HQ, Tim Horan announced that for Quade to stay at Queensland there is a clause in his "agreement" to play for Toulon that allows the ARU to pay them $200,000 and he could then for go his commitment!!
So the Tahs get to waste the ARUs money on useless appeals as above, and the QRU are going to be getting the ARU to front $200,000 so he can stay and play rugby in Australia.
A complete farce.

I don't know why I bother watching the rugby club (technically I record it so I can fastforward through the crap)
Durring the discussion on the Force vs Reds game the Force weren't mentioned at all.
The Rebels gams rated a slight mention about some fluff but zero rugby.
That sort of shit incenses me TO THE MAX!!! We're not talking Dan Carter FFS!! Cooper is rapidly becoming an injury-prone has-been. We should be spending money on the future of rugby in Australia, not hanging on to the past for grim death.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
While they're sorting out the FIFA corruption farce maybe they could have a good look at the ARU, doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between the 2!
May the FORCE be with you!
sounds like an exit fee. if ARU want him to play in Australia, then it will cost 200k. nothing much to it i dont think.
No, it seems that he as made a "commitment" to Toulon which has "get out clause" if the ARU front $200,000 for him to exercise it. Kind of like blackmail really.

My take on it was.
He signed for Toulon
he changed his mind
Toulon said 'tough!'
he said 'What if I get the ARU to give you lots of money?'
Toulon said 'Oh! If you have to, we might see our way to let you out of this legally binding contract you signed for say a lot of money'
he said 'ARU please give them lots of money as I've changed my mind and really like the Reds Club Song'
exit fee? he's never played a game for the team. maybe it would be acceptable if he signed a 3 year contract and wanted to break the last year of his contract, but he's never pulled on the jumper for them and if he did sign a valid contact then the ARU knew all about and were prepared to stump up the cash for effectively nothing depending upon what quade wanted to do. quade and Toulon just bent over the ARU big time and the mug punters like you and me that pay those exorbitant rego fees end up wearing the bill for this nonsense![]()
