The scratch matches between Palmyra and Nedlands today were played out very evenly, with neither club in the ascendancy in any grade, and with both having a number of senior players unavailable.
The positive was that there was plenty of strength and talent out there, but the negative was the lack of team cohesion as yet from both sides.
It really was impossible from what I saw today to come to any conclusion as to how either club will perform this season.
any other pre season results coming through
Saw Wanneroo v Kala Premier Grade - Wanneroo turned up with an largely unrecognisable pack from last year, (not unusual), OK - it's was a preseason match, and all that, Kala were the entertainers, in a fairly drab match. Regarding any forwards who were subject to a bidding war/tug of war between Wests and Wanneroo - well maybe they weren't playing, or maybe it was because it was a preseason match, and they were saving themselves. It was nice and warm, I nodded off around the 45 minute mark, I could only recall one score, an intercept try to Wanneroo.
