What's this I hear about an all in brawl during last Saturday's under 18 match between Wests Subiaco and Mandurah?
I'm told at least 40 people were involved including spectators, parents and players.
I hope the book has been thrown at all those concerned, and that the Judiciary has made an example of both clubs and their miscreants.
Palmyra has to play one of these teams this weekend and we want no repeat performance from the thugs or their parents.
And on another note, I believe the Judiciary had it's hands full with first grade reports, including one deliberate, extremely dangerous high tackle. Anything less than a season's ban would be a travesty.
Madurah are a bunch of pricks. (yes its unfair to a few of their good players but when you have 50% pricks it creates a culture in an U18s team.) And Wests have to many big headed players (up them self), i would be surprised if they started the fights, but i'm guessing they would of spurred the whole thing up.
This can probably be said about most U18 teams, but Mandurah are a real problem, get rid of them. It will save petrol for a lot of traveling teams, and in turn would be a good thing for the environment. Everyone is a winner.
I haven't heard about Round 1 but I can guarantee short shrift to miscreants this week in that match FS. Leave it to me, ok?![]()
Save us, Ecky, save us!
Not good at all to see reports like this.
A number of Rocky players were coaxed to Mandurah this year (even the elected 2010 Rockingham U/18 coach defected with his son, and offered support to Mandurah)
This assisted with the U/18 player number drop at Rockingham and eventually the withdrawl of Rocky U/18s for this season.
Reports of physical altercations between players at trainings does not bode well either.
I am hopeful that Mandurah can keep it together this year, as it would be bad for the Southern area to have no U/18 representation.
That explains it. Combining Rockingham and Mandurah into one team is a recipe for on field brawls. I'm guessing this was round 1 as well haha.
Be more likely to be intra team brawls though wouldn't it Jazza![]()

Sorry about the result FS
At least I kept all the players on the park - and all the spectators off it![]()
Why do I get the impression YOU had a good time Ecky - have visions of you flicking a whip with one hand and a chair in the other like a proper ringmaster
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Ringmaster, prima donna, whatever......

I think that its unfair to mention Rockingham when Mandurah have a brawl, we arent that close you know. Do we say Cottesloe, when we mention Associates, I don't think so, to lump them both together is sooooo unfair....
Ecky.................Not sure about your personal glee in this as the referee. People got it wrong on the day- one does not condone that. That should be stamped out.
Your view/self praise as a ref is worrying!!
Life aint fair....![]()
