I'd ask for some of the ELVs to go - the breakdown is a shambles. 6N has been a better rugby spectacle this year IMO.

i actually like the elv's, some teams have exploited them negatively but others are also using them positively

To me the responses by the different parties challenged in the article all had quite reasonable answers.
The reality is we don't live in the 80's anymore, things have gotten more expensive across the board and it is the end consumer who will always wear the greatest proportion of that.

I BEEN INVOLVED WITH RUGBY ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR 40 YEARS NOW AND I HAVE LOST NEARLY ALL MY ENTHUSASIM FOR THE MODERN GAME... come on allow the odd stamp on the leg.... ref's have too much say gee the force boys must really wounder what to do next... there is no consistency how can u correct mistakes if u dont know how the rules will be interreated from week to another

Yes Burgs that was the point - I'm getting a bit brassed off at being told what I want to see by the powers that be. Some of the ELVs are good, some are crap, the breakdown particularly. The reffing at the breakdown is almost unintelligible (a bit like scrums). Anyhow - perhaps I was just a bit more prone to whinging at the weekend after having watched the Force lose to the Sharks. Still, I've had my say now.
