Wonder if the Force have sounded out David Smith. Played for the Force in 2011. Finishes up at Toulon this year and a top try scorer in the Top 14 comp. Not aware of him signing anywhere else at this stage. The only problem is I think he is pretty settled in France now.....but you never know if you don't ask.
Yeah I'm pretty sure he was our marque player. He indicated at the time he was keen to return to the Force at some stage but situations change. Maybe the Force have become too forward-centric and need to look at having some stars in the backs. DHP is looking good at 15 but I think the Badger will head back to Japan and not sure if he will get the same dispensation to return to the Force next year.
Of course there is no point having gun players on the wing if we don't have a quality fly half to get the ball out there.
Pieter-Steph du Toit is out of contract at the end of the year. just sayin'. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we like tall blondes :sarcastic:
Ryan Louwrens had another strong match last night. The Force better not drag their feet on this one. Heard he is the subject of a big offer from the state that has 50 percent of the rugby playing population but can't produce their own.
Do RugbyWA have any money to be able to match big offers from ARU-supported states?? I imagine they're already paying top dollar for Alby.
The priorities for me are 1. Resign Benny Mac, 2. Buy the best fly half we can afford, 3. Find a young (probably Saffa) mean as hell, meat eating prop who hates everyone not wearing the same Jersey, 4. Develop a hard running outside back and teach Kyle to offload to him. 5. Return a profit so we can fill the next gap (should prolly be priority 1b).
Updated front page with Ryan & Ian which is 23 now confirmed for 2017:approve:
Just heard on the news that Benny Mc has signed for 3 years I think they said.
Correct SNOB! I want to hug him!!!
Great news, thanks for the commitment Ben.
