thought we had turned the corner with injuries. where's Coleman? thought he was touch and go to play against the King's?
the Scottish lad took a punt on some game time and now finds himself as a starter against the chiefs. best of luck to him.

Heart says we'll thump 'em
Head says we'll need a miracle for that to happen
Yep, going to be very tough to get up given the injuries. Hopefully they've been working on some nice set moves in the break that will catch the chiefs by surprise.
Big risk starting with Burton, but I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes
the rest of aussie rugby expects us to to get a thumping but with this new culture within the club i think we will go O K we may not win but we wont go down without a fight :force::force::force:
So Chance Peni out for the season!! WTF!!:(:banghead: Can't the Force cut a break in luck!!
I've been waiting to see Luke Burton get a chance to show his wares for a long time. Now he has his chance. He is quick and can create some problems for the chiefs if given a chance.
Even with the injuries the team looks pretty solid, even the bench. Not sure about Morahan this season.
Will be interesting to see how the young Scot goes.
We really need the young Scot to be up for the challenge and have the necessary skills otherwise we might lose valuable possession on Saturday and you don't want that against the Chiefs. The more time you have the possession of the ball the higher your chances of the winning the game.
They need to NEVER kick it to the 22 this week. Chiefs enjoy the counter-attack so much, it'd be better to be turned over at the ruck on your own 22.
Kick to line or fr a contest, there's no point playing for territory against them.
Breaking: Peni out injured :(

"Force winger Chance Peni may not suit up for the rest of the 2017 season, after rupturing his groin. Peni was ruled out of Saturday’s clash with the Chiefs and coach Dave Wessels said the winger was in danger of missing the entire season.
“Chance has ruptured his groin so there’s a chance that unfortunately he doesn’t play again this year,” he told reporters on Friday."
Also saw this around too. Not sure what to make of it:

"Sorry, Western Force fans... Catch #FORvCHI LIVE on RUGBY.com.au from 7:30pm AEST."
yep I saw that and immediately started pyscho-analysing what it meant... prob nothing
I did like this comment from Wessels though “We’ve practised pretty hard, we think we have a relatively good plan but a plan’s all well and good until you get punched in the mouth.”
From the article about Peni...
Wessels had plenty of praise for Scotland’s Carmichael, who joined the club ahead of its trip to New Zealand, with the second rower rated highly overseas.
“I’m pretty excited to see how Lewis goes,” he said.
“He’s getting big wraps out of Scotland. Some of the Scottish coaches are talking about him playing Test rugby in the next 12 months.”
