Western Force flanker Matt Hodgson urges SANZAAR to make quick call on Super Rugby fu

Veteran Western Force flanker Matt Hodgson has warned Australia will be hit by a player exodus if SANZAAR does not make a quick decision on the future of Super Rugby.
And he says clubs will struggle to re-sign and attract new players in the current unsettled climate.
It is understood managers of players from clubs under threat are already talking to rival teams in Australia and overseas about next season.
Force foundation member Hodgson said speculation was damaging the Melbourne Rebels, Brumbies and Force whose futures are under a cloud.
“This is hurting Australian rugby,” Hodgson said.

Good to see Matt Hodgson speak out as both past Captain and as the local RUPA Rep.

SANZAAR & the ARU have turned this into situation which is just ripe for the Tahs and the Reds to take their picks from the squads of the Force, Rebels and Brumbies.

There's About 25 of the WF squad that are open to approaches from anywhere and the WF is effectively powerless to do anything about it.

Very tough for young players trying to settle into things such as home purchase or starting families.

The ongoing deferral is turning Super Rugby into even more of a cluster.

Would be good to see the ARU show some level of concern and action for the benefit of all of the professional rugby players rather than just those in the Wallabies squad.

I just wish that this was all over and that we knew one way or the other if we have a rugby team to support in 2018.

It must be diabolical for the Force players and staff, wondering if they have jobs in 2018.

I just hope if the force is the one to go ( and I hope not) The players just turn their backs on the ARU and try to get contract overseas.. I reckon some talent scouts would be watching games now..

I had a thought last night..If we are shown the door, what better way to express our displeasure with the ARU than a mass mooning at our last home game? :):eek:

I'm not sure I like the idea of turning around to moon the field and being confronted with a grandstand full of arses...
