Reece Hodge interview - http://media.skyracing.com.au/POD/1/WNidAZ.mp3
Adam Coleman has injured his knee 5 minutes in - he has been assisted from the field
Fuck... Looks like Adam might have done his knee 5min in. Did not look good :(
Australia 23-22 Scotland
Very lucky to win that one. All the usual issues raised their heads again, too many handling errors, too many missed or passive tackles and not enough impact at the ruck by the clean out players. The injury to Coleman looks a worry and it was no surprise our forward ball carries dropped off after he left the field. Apart from Arnold none of our forwards were really able to get the 3 or 4 metres through contact that they often got against Wales to set the platform. Reece Hodge was probably our best, he was always looking like making a half break into a line break.
Scotland played with some great creativity with their ball skills at the gain line setting up a number of line breaks. Former Stormer Huw Jones had a great 1st half scoring a double but faded out of the game as Scotlands fitness and Australias ability to finally hold on to some ball starved the Scottish backs of possession. Scotlands line speed in defense gave us problems as our forward carries were either too deep or played off Foley which gave the defense an extra second or two to smother us. Australia also didn't help themselves with the Scottish linespeed by choosing not to use any tactical kicking to get behind the defense.
Watched the first half in Phattys! Attachment 4567ABs on the main screen but Wallabies had three smaller screens. Pretty sure there was some other"live sport" going on too! Lots of lovely young ladies wanting to suit with you even though Mrs Snob was present! Next door was the hangover which seemed a bit more open about what was going on![AwTTACH=CONFIG]4566[/ATTACH]
If there's any balance left in team selection, we should have seen the last of Skelton. Caused Pocock to be penalised as soon as he came on - too slow to clean out effectively. Then gives up one of the most blatantly stupid yellow card penalties I can recall. Right when the game was there for the winning. A great effort by the rest to claw back the win. Just.
Adam to have knee scans to determine the extent of the injury - medial ligament strain the early diagnosis. Still some chance he may stay on tour.
Love to see him stay on the tour and make the last two games, the Wallabies will need his aggression against England - BUT very important for us that he is fit for the start of the Force's season!

"He'll go and get some pictures now and then we'll see what that presents for him, whether he can stay on or whether he'll have to go home," Cheika said." Should Coleman's injury be serious, it will be a heavy blow to the Wallabies' grand slam ambitions.
I reckon the Scottish rush defence caused us some grief and rattled our attack, they played with a lot of heart, they also competed well at the breakdown - thank goodness we had Poey on the field. We also left plenty of points out there by losing possession in their 22 trying to push the 1% last pass in attack - Issy did it twice from memory - pretty impressed by how Foley is playing and Reece Hodge is coming on in leaps and bounds.
Praying that Adam is right to take the field for the Force in February!! We need him more than ever this next season!
May be now Cheika will FINALLY admit Skelton as a waste of space! Counted about 10 touches of the bal by Speight is all, meanwhile Luke had a blinder off the bench in the Baa Baas. Cheiks selections do not make sense.
I also think Lark ham is the steadying hand that's keeping Folau at 15.looking at his work rate, I think I might be starting to agree. DHP is getting his head around the international winger deal and folau appears to be a part time option.
Morahan for 11 and the back three will look pretty impressive, then we'll only have to find a great 13.
Hodge was threatening but thought he was running too tight a line to Folau and that was the main reason he was getting in the way and the offloads weren't sticking. just one or two steps back every time and he would've been massive.
We need a more dynamic winger than Speight, he couldn't bend or break the defensive line and several times he nearly got bundled into touch as he was getting the ball flat footed and left the cut in a bit late, is it me or is he quite small framed compared to our other backs? Morahan for 11!!
Kurindrani also had a shit game but redeemed by the match winner so I wont complain too much ;)
DHP was just consistently fantastic in the air, better than Folau has been ... Reece Hodge too should be penned in for selection, finding almost as many gaps as Ben Youngs !
Lowlight was Skelton taking Plonker of world rugby ... that hit when Moore was gesticulating to the ref for a yellow for Laidlaw !
