I remember reading about how the other associations aren't doing so well fiscally.
This announcement may annoy some eastern states people.
Does that mean we'll get a reduction in membership costs next year?
good question!
That's great news, and If it doesn't translate to cheaper memberships I don't care! Every cent they make goes straight back into rugby in the state and my son benefits from that!
i realised as i hit post i dont pay for my membership :D
onya dad.
..is a rhetorical question.
Good to see RugbyWA's in the "black" and looking at pumping it back into the grassroots. Hopefully they'll be able to add afew $$ to their advertising campaign and create a larger community awareness. This year's attendance at the "Meet and Greet the players Day" was a little sad and bare. Similarly, the crowd at the Official Launch of the 2008 Merchandise was deplorable, again I got loads of pics but would rather be fighting with the crowd than feeling embarassed.
What we get according to interview with Geoff Stooke by Dave Hughs we get:
free insurance for all players in the RugbyWa local comp (to be insured you must fill in your registration from which is due today !)
reserves for the move from perry's lakes to AK Reserve - believe it or not the government is actually giving RugbyWa 18 million for the move - guessing that it is a grant which is normally 80% of the cost - so RugbyWa probably need 2million in cash themselves and then some
In the same article he also said that the biggest challenge facing RugbyWa was the public dissatisfaction with Subico Oval
I read that this was after a cost of some $436,000 odd for the ARC which RugbyWA paid out of its own kick and didnt have to scab it off ARU...unlike some other Unions...
Oh NO, now the NSWRU will be chasing RugbyWA in court for "fees related to the training and develpment of players..."
or any other way to get something for nothing.
