Salary caps to be lifted, squads to be bigger.
Now why doesn't that surprise me.
What odds Rebels get the biggest cap with Coleman waiting in the wings.
The Reds will be spewing. The salary cap was why couldn't get Genia.

They are calling it a transition plan....WTF
Rugby Australia has confirmed the development of a transition plan to cope with a salary cap and player number increase for the 2018 Super Rugby season following the decision to axe the Western Force.
Here's a link

Its also on Rugby.com
Yes, once the cream of the crop have been sold off to the Rebels the RA will pretend to look after the rest.
Love to see the spreadsheet.....too soon?
The other states will be spewing.....the RA will do anything and are desperate to make the MRRU a success to justify their decision.
Just posted the link on the other thread. The Arseholes R Us link doesn't tell us anything. No figures, squad sizes. Could be all redundant if the CBA negotiations turn sour.
All while there is no money in place to fund it all.Quote:

Incompetent w**kers! It just gets worse by the day 😡😡😡😡
As I posted on rugby.com.au what the hell did they think was going to happen??? They basically have 20% more players than teams. Did they think they were just going to disappear like us here in the West???
So lets sprinkle the youth of WA into NSW, QLD ACT. Lets stop those states and territories fringe players from having a pathway to the elite level. Lets see those young men go oversea's or take up NRL contracts.
Clearly the RA will pay for this via the $6m savings from cutting the Force....hang on, that was for grass roots rugby wasn't it? Hang on, by doing this they are destroying grass roots, hang on.....they must have a plan, they must of thought about this, better get Saltbush onto it and lets get Kaf to tell everyone on Foxsport that he as seen the spreadsheet.
Exactly UAU and Cecilia this is all hot air and will blow up in smoke. They are just shifting the extra costs of the players' salaries that were to go to the Force on to the other sides while the tv contract remains at the same monetary value. The Rebels have no money, Reds are skint, Brumbies are on the recovery and the Tahs are cost cutting their coaching staff while recruiting lesser names for a change (I don't include Simmons in that as he was in the same boat as TPN).
Players like Robbie Coleman, Louwrens, Ruru, Richie Arnold, Pek Cowan, Heath Tessman, Jono Lance (Worcester are skint like the Rebels), Uwen, Angus Cottrell, James Verity Amm, Billy Meakes are currently without a team next season. The list of Rebels who are going to lose their deals due to the ARU's restructure (it reminds me of David Brent restructuring the Slough and Swindon branch).
Whitaker warned there will not be a completely equitable outcome for every team,
So, Rebels will be helped out the most, and the others can git farked!
There is one huge puff of wind coming and the house of cards (the nice new one build out of staw in Moore Park) will collapse. Its a perfect storm of frantic crisis management being managed by arrogant soulless bottom feeders. Clyne will just shrug his shoulders and resign never to be heard of again (maybe he can assist Samoa??) Band aids, bad decision, no forward thinking and no list of 'what ifs'. Certainly Saltbush did not factor in the fire in WA's belly over this.
I want to see the current RA bank accounts.
It is becoming abundantly clear (hopefully to those ostriches over east) that there was not a single shred of forward planning in this whole debacle. All they could see was 'WOO! EXTRA $6M!!!!!' and not anything after that. It's like they all just thought the players, administrators and fans would shrug their shoulders, say 'we had a good run' and then ALL turn our backs on rugby. Do they honestly think we are stupid????? 😕
Not exactly correct, they didn't expect many of us to turn our backs on rugby, they expected us to continue to buy wallabies tickets and merchandise and select a new team to watch. I would assume this is phase 1 of kill the IPRC. Lock anybody worth looking at away in Melbourne on an ironclad contract..... Jokes on them, since they can't tell shit from shinola and most of Australia's best talent is already playing overseas anyway.
