if they said that before the game, they would have been at a complete loss what to say at half time!
Did anyone see the Tah's dressing room and Michael Cheika giving them right royal motivating mouthfuls...and showing a drawing of a "poker face"... I think we need more of that..no "pussy footing about"... remember when John Mitchell went into the changing room at half time and hardly said a word, and stormed out, and we came back and won that game.. they need a boot up the bum, and some hard talking.. IMveryhumbleO...
I think some of that hard talking should be pretty public as well. Hodgo's presser about the hundredth game was too much of "we'll learn from that" and "We have been working hard on it during the week" it needs to be more "We're not satisfied with that" and "If we can't make guys lift to the level we need then we'll have to look for other options"
Much as I love Hodgo and all he's done for the Force and for rugby in WA, I do wish he'd get a bit more angry sometimes!
Agree Todd!
Ban the sun tanning shit, shave their heads and get them all down to Langtrees, happy ending and that should stop them running around posing and looking like they don't give a shit. However I'm with Gigs I think we are going to see a massive improvement this weekend because it's getting close to last chance saloon for a large number of them.
I must say I'm already getting feed up with the " didn't they play well for 10-20-40 mins" lines. It's time Foley was saying "that was not acceptable".
I think this is probably the first time I am actually dreading what's going to happen this weekend because if they don't get it at least half right against the Rebels we will probably end up with our worst year ever!
I can only hope they pull their fingers out and give it there all.
Don't want to be a pedant snob, but we're beyond half right being good enough. We need to play 80 minutes of precise, ruthless uncompromising rugby this weekend or some asses need to hit the pine, simple as that.
I won't be looking at the scoreboard, it'll all be about the style of play for me!
Echo that Gigs! It's not about winning for me anymore - just the way we play, both in terms of skill and attitude. Actually, attitude more so than skill!
I see Grumbles Growden is calling us "dreadful" not once, but twice in his predictions on ESPN today. Even my blue-tinted spectacles can't disagree with him this time :-/
Interestingly, he says it's a shame for Godwin, Alby and Benny Mac that the Force are so "dreadful".
Apologies Jargan - here it is:
