No need to feel despondent. Just remember that in the last few weeks when the gun wasn't directly pointed at our team, us supporters (especially yourself and others) haven't stopped making noise and showing what our team has to offer. I don't hear about Rebels supporters digging through ARU accounts, the rebels only got loud when the gun is directly at them.
The Force offered a similar statement 5 weeks ago and suddenly the pressure was on the Rebels as far as the media were concerned. Swings and roundabouts.
We have our legal position and some great firepower in that corner. We have our support base and passion which hasn't gone unnoticed around the country and we have our team who are busting a gut to perform and stick the middle finger up at the ARU.
Thanks Daz - that's what I needed to hear :-))
The only reason the Rebels where ever in the firing line was because the ARU new they couldn't cut the force due to the alliance agreement.
Had that not been in play the Force would have been cut with in '48 to 72 hours' as was the plan all along.
Nothing has changed the agreement still stands. All this has shown just how completely incompetent the ARU top brass and board are and I can't wait to see their demise in the coming weeks.
And now the Vic Govt has released a media statement spruiking the importance of keeping the Rebels 😱 The pressure really is on

"Victoria is the sporting capital of the world and the nation’s leader for major events. Australian Rugby Union can only lay claim to being a truly national code in an international competition if Victoria is a key component of its plans"
:jerk:
It really annoys me when people bang on about Victoria/Melbourne as the sporting capital of the world. What event does Melbourne have that London doesn't?
Westminster Morris Men's 'Day of Dance".
