"I HAVE FAITH"
Living in Sydney and being a Western Force fan is an experience all its own. Walking around in public getting strange looks from people when I wear my Jersey is good fun. The strange part of it is this. Every Friday I wear my Force Supporters Jersey to work, and every week people who know me will ask me why I still wear that Jersey when they havent won anything.
Funnily enough these same people also asked me last year why I continued to wear my Wallabies Jersey while they were having bad run of losses.
Don't these people get it. We are Supporters of The Emirates Western Force,
We support the Western Force
Thru thick and thin.
Rain hail or shine,
For better or worse
In sickness and in health
For as long as we all shall live.
SO HELP US JOHN.
During the FoxSports telecast a shot of the crowd focused on one lady holding a sign in blue with a simple message. "I HAVE FAITH". If that lady is a member of TheWholeForce, or if she is known by anyone of our members here, can you please pass on this message;
Thank you for expressing how I feel, Thank you for putting in to words what I couldnt untill now. Thank you for inspiring me, and to a lesser extent this thread.
Ever since I saw this sign I have had this song buzzing around in my head.
Keep the Faith. By Bon Jovi from the Album of the same name
Mother mother tell your children
That their time has just begun
I have suffered for my anger
There are wars that can't be won
Father father please believe me
I am laying down my guns
I am broken like an arrow
Forgive me
Forgive your wayward son
Everybody needs somebody to love
(mother, mother)
Everybody needs somebody to hate
(please believe me)
Everybody's bitching
'cause they can't get enough
And it's hard to hold on
When there's no one to lean on
Faith: you know you're gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith
Faith: don't let your love turn to hate
Right now we got to
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Lord we got to keep the faith
Tell me baby when i hurt you
Do you keep it all inside
Do you tell me al's forgiven
And just hide behind your pride
Everybody needs somebody to love
(mother, father)
Everybody needs somebody to hate
(please don't leave me)
Everybody's bleeding
'cause the times are tough
Well it's hard to be strong
When there's no one to dream on
Faith: you know you're gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith
Now you know is not too late
Oh you got to keep the faith
Faith: don't let your love turn to hate
Right now we got to
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Lord we got to keep the faith
Walking in the footsteps
Of society's lies
I don't like what i see no more
Sometimes i wish that i was blind
Sometimes i wait forever
To stand out in the rain
So no one sees me cryin'
Trying to wash away the pain
Mother father
There's things i've done i can't erase
Every night we fall from grace
It's hard with the world in yours face
Trying to hold on, trying to hold on
Faith: you know you're gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith
Faith: don't let your love turn to hate
Right now we got to keep the faith
Faith: now it's not too late
Try to hold on, trying to hold on
Keep the faith
Does anyone else have Faith?

Speaking of Bon Jovi, he's the owner of this team Philadelphia Soul
It amazes me how many fair weather, bandwagon fans there are in sports. :gritteef:

Excellent post Exile and totally agree with you and Larry.
Keep wearing the jersey with pride mate, they'll never get it but true Force supporters do.
It's character building stuff and as dissapointing as the result is, imagine how sweet it is going to be when we finally break through?
Your collegues in the East won't ever get it because they can take the Tahs for granted, they've just always been there for them. Always been in the mix, even in their worst years.
We have something new and special, cherish it for just how special it is and remember these early years when the good times come and the fair weather fans come back.
We will take comfort in knowing we were there, we felt the pain too and we stuck by them through thick and thin. WhooHAAA...... GO THE FORCE!!!!

Sydney = Band wagon capital of Australia.

Hell Yeah! I wear my membership hat every waking moment of every day, despite the heckles from my Kick and Giggle workmates. There is also a Stormers fan at work....... so that will smart come monday! At the end of the day though The Force rocks my world.
Heads up to the "My mum loves De Kock" sign bearers and Jonny Caulfield in the Blue Alf costume. Who would of thought a costume discarded in a dumpster would bring us so much joy, and instill such a deep sense of Force go-forth-ness.
BLUE ALF FOR OFFICIAL MASCOT!

i've never been one for "keeping the faith"..no offence.

 oh what a night!!
dissapointment, loneliness, just a couple of things i felt after the game while walking out of subiaco last night, but as i trundled back to my car I thought how good that game was. Lots of long faces though. But how many different mood swings can one handle in such a short time? Bloody good eh.
As a team they were awesome, but for me I thought Digby played a scorcher. every time he had the ball a positive move was created. Breaking through their lines, twisting and ducking, and what about that chase that stopped them from scoring from their breakaway. Man , that boy is running straight into the Wallabies. For me he's the player of the match.
I never saw the banner for the I have faith but full marks to that person/s.
But I did see an Innforcer banner along the way from me, good one fellas.
And thanks to the guys and ladies around us for putting up with my enthusium when we play well, but no appologies to the lady seated behind me who cant see when I stand up ,but could suggest she does'nt have to stay seated and could get just a little excited after we score.
And finnally, WOW what great site this is and to all that put into it you've done a superior job.

Brother Spanky - be nice to our light-blue wearing brethren. He has seen the light my brother. But one must always remember ones place of birth and support thy home state when one can. And we must always welcome our brothers and sisters from where ever they may of came- For the world is truly one of Union.
