The 'tahs and their supporters have had problems for the last three seasons which culminated in a "take it on the chin type" get together to listen directly to what their supporters had to say. Cheika as a new coach is understandably wanting a fresh start to that relationship and it's interesting that his assessment of what has gone wrong is that NSW have assumed some right to be the premier rugby province in Australia and have lived on that belief rather than making any serious efforts to adapt and improve. A classic case of a stagnant attitude based on the glories of the past.
It will be interesting to see how the same stagnant-thinking old boys will respond to the proposed restructuring of the ARU.
Maybe I missed it but...
Did Cheika ever divulge the reason the didn't join the Force? Seemed a pretty done deal at the time.
The Force were rubbish in 2012. Plain and simple.
Things have turned around since, however, Cheika is a Randwick and GPS old school tie NSWRU pin up boy.
Foley was asked to leave behind closed doors so they could have Cheika
Foley was happy to leave because the Tahs stink from the head down
Cheika has to talk it up. The Tahs have no excuses for failure.......which they do with consistent regularity
Expect them to show promise early and fail miserably. It's cultural. They hired "one of their own" and so very little will change despite talking a good game
WA is "in the zone" to reap the benefits of the Asian century
We will become a mighty rugby force
dead set

Folau had a shocker! - let in the first try by holding back, fell off tackles and dropped the ball, never really went looking for action - overall a timid performance from a man who looked very unsure of himself. The Badger would be pleased.
AFL ruined Folau.....
Izzy will be fine.
The bloke has all the skills. he just has to learn the game. backpedalling 5m from your line as the last line of defence gave the coach a training program for him for this week. That was poor but just showed he doesn't know what to do
The Tahs beat themselves. Poor ball security and some very bad tackling at times. It was their first hit out. There was a lot to like about the performance and in particular the fight back. I thought Foley was outstanding at 10.
The first 20 minutes of the second half was very good. hanging on in the first half when they were fatigued and getting run off their feet showed great character.
They will be a lot better next week. The Reds were much better than last week.
It was good to see some attacking intent
