Yes, I thought about that, OzFUB, but the heading was the only oblique reference to the senior counsel that I could think of, without actually naming him.
As it was, the InnFORCEr picked it right away.

Former WA Governor Malcolm McCusker takes up Force’s legal fight

Former WA Governor Malcolm McCusker is set to represent RugbyWA in its impending legal battle to save Western Force from the Super Rugby axe.
McCusker, one of WA’s most experienced legal figures, who also played rugby for UWA, will represent the Force with administrative and constitutional law expert Matthew Howard.
The move fired another warning shot at the ARU following the writ lodged by RugbyWA against the national body notifying it of its intention to apply for an injunction against the plan to revoke its licence.
The Force have a clause in the alliance agreement signed with the ARU last year that commits both parties to the current broadcast deal that ends in 2020.
Western Force is suing the Australian Rugby Union as it fights to stay in Super Rugby competition
“We have enlisted Malcolm McCusker and Matt Howard to help us in our potential legal fight to keep the Force in WA under our alliance agreement with the ARU,” RugbyWA chairman Tony Howarth said.
The Rebels, who are also under threat have warned they will seek compensation if axed.
The ARU board met yesterday and is understood to want to meet the RugbyWA board.

This time they should send over the organ grinders instead of the monkeys.
Are they going to send Geoff in first to parley.
I just want to see him come in carrying a white flag ...
Based on their performance to date, I wouldn't put it past them to try doubling down on the community side and try coming the heavy...
For all their track record on the "community" rugby side, I don't think they would be missed if they disappeared up their own orifices.
Better then the Jolly Rodger they came with last time. Speaking of Hatchet men I see all talk of a team being "chopped" has disappeared from the ARU media talk. What a lovely term to use for one of your teams such an embracing term to keep a pissed off rugby public in the warm embrace of mother wallaby.
Are the ARU actually saying anything anymore?
I wonder if we called the office would anyone actually answer and or speak my mental picture is they are so gaged that it resembles the set of 50 shades of grey at St Leonard's.
Sorry rambling posts.
Westie, to win a pissing contest, you first have to have a dick.
No prize for second place Frank
Westie, I am pleased to concede you knew something before me and kept it to yourself and your bestest mates.
