RugbyWA Sues Former Employee for Breach of Confidentiality

RugbyWA has commenced an action in the WA Supreme Court against a former employee for serious breach of contract including the disclosure of confidential information.

As part of that action, the court granted an order allowing for a search to take place at the former employee’s private residence and new place of employment. The court does not take these search orders lightly, and only grants them where there is good cause.

RugbyWA is in regular dialogue with the Australian Rugby Union on the matter, and will pursue it vigorously.
