What makes anyone think that a mere a change of name changes the identity of the body in question or affects its rights and responsibilities?
Can they just ditch the name Australia, re-brand EAST COAST RUGBY UNION...job done now grab your ball and f@#k off!!!!!!!!!

The ARU registered the name Rugby AU and logos with IP Australia on 10 October.
We should also register the long-winded trademark:
Western Australian National Rugby Football Union®

They've mis-spelt the name - it's not RugbyAU, but actually UruguayB. This is in line with the ARU's future expansion plans in South America. It will be re-assuring for the players that their career pathway has been future proofed once we start to fall in the rankings.
