Japan gets four tries to beat Tonga 35-13

Hirotoki Onozawa ran in a key try in the second half Sunday as Japan defeated Tonga 35-13 in the Pacific Nations Cup.

Japan led 12-6 at halftime and widened the gap to 25-13 on Onozawa's effort, one of four tries that earned a bonus point for former New Zealand international John Kirwan's side.

Takashi Kikutani and New Zealand-born players Shaun Webb and Bryce Robins also had tries for Japan, which improved to 1-1 in the six-nation tournament.

Lotu Filipine had Tonga's lone try, reducing the lead to 20-11 after 10 minutes in the second half.

Sounds like Kirwan might be starting to get the side humming!
Depends how many NH players Tonga had available though.

awesome result for Nippon though, regardless of the availability of key players, Tonga are hardly a pushover.
