2000? Why not!
In terms of a target, it may be better to firstly find out if there is a deadline to meet ie when are the decisions going to be made on what the stand will be called ? It can't be very far away given the current target for completion and opening of the new east stand.
The other consideration might be that this time of year is possibly the period when there is least attention given to rugby since there are no southern hemisphere matches being played between the November tests and February Super Rugby start-up. Hence rugby followers may not be accessing rugby web sites as much as usual.
Despite what I wrote above, I've e-mailed some rugby web sites (eg Planet Rugby, Scrum.com) drawing attention to the petition. (There may be some northern hemi guys or Aussies in blighty who might be supportive.) I'll let you all know when/if I get a response.
I've also contacted the QLD Reds Facebook page but i'm not holding my breath on that one. :sarcastic:
Can someone twitter @theruckshow?

Meanwhile, the Australian Rugby Union has backed the campaign to have the new nib Stadium grandstand named after retired Force and Wallaby legend Nathan Sharpe.
ARU acting chief executive Matt Carroll said Sharpe had been an inspiration to the Australian team in a stellar career.
"Australian rugby welcomes fans' show of support to have a grandstand named after Nathan Sharpe, one of Australia's greatest players," he said.
"I know Western Force fans are very proud of Nathan Sharpe so it would be fitting."
The campaign was launched by the Force fan club, The Whole Force.
Its website petition has already topped 1000 signatures.

We are trying very hard to get some support for the cause guys. The last thing we need is trivial attempts at humour.
