Ahh the truth comes out. Clubs are so poop scared of competition.
If little Johnny is happy at Joondalup or Wanneroo and he's there with his mates, the club looks after him, his mates and his parents -- WHY the %$$CK would he even think of going to a new club???
No question demographics are changing and no question in 5, 10 or 15 years time the age group in and around the foreshore is getting very old.
Will Padbury be the new name?
Will it be starting next year?
Putting my Nostrafulvio cap on, if Padlands or Nedbury gets off the ground, within two years the locals will want to put in their own senior teams, will want "their" juniors as fodder for their own grandiose dreams of playing premier grade, and we will end up with another deadend club cluttering up the system.
You're kind of right Fulvio, however, by then Nedlands will be playing in the District competition!
I don't have a problem with Nedlands setting up a junior feeder club in the Northern Suburbs, but unless Nedlands are planning to move further from the CBD in the foreseeable future, I can't see it really benefiting them.
Yes i do he plays u10 and yes we will be nedlands.its just a second ground to train at.i have been at neddies all my life and the drive where you down.there will be no senior club.i ask my son who's he wants to play for and he says the club his dad uncle grandfather plays for so all we want is for this to stay a reality .i will work with joondalup and wanneroo to make it as transparent as possible .i will be talking to both president today so please give it a rest and put you concerns to your presidents cause i have a gf to try and win first and then i will worry about all this.all the best to all teams and clubs this week.talk about this weekend because it will be the pinnacle and end of careers including mine bring it on Cott

Is it true to say that RugbyWA has already advised that the location of this so called training field will be an issue

If more people were actually out there helping out their clubs they would recognise others in the local rugby community - Tony is always down at Brittania early for his son's rugby, before setting off to coach his highly successful Nedland's first grade team. How can you challenge this man's commitment to local rugby or his credentials? It's beyond me...
This has nothing to do with Tony's commitment it is about Nedlands looking to set-up a training facility smack bang in the middle of Wanneroo's catchment area
