Been on to the Roar having a go at the usual suspects.

- You don't go out recruiting a whole new coaching staff when you are skint. It appears that Wessels has increased the number of Assistants at the Rabble than what was there this year.
Where's the money coming from to pay for this and what is the budget? Surely there are relocation costs involved?
- What debt did was left behind by Imperium and MRRU? Where did it go? I suppose we have to wait till the financial reports come out so they can be referred on to ASIC
OK, was looking forward to a quiet day but you've started me. Imperium ~ Rebels debt free + almost $6m. After two years the money is gone, still no major sponsor and insolvent and requiring some local investment (code for more ARU money....go ASIC!!) to prevent the ARU from having to go down that path after already targeting the Force.
11 Match Day starting Force players to the Rebels, the entire coaching staff as well. Rebels have to cut the old coaching staff and retain and pay out Morgan Turinui giving him some bogus title. All have to be relocated from Perth to Melbourne and housed etc.
Honesty, why would Dave Wessels care how much money the MRRU are paying and why should he?
The sooner someone audits both the MRRU and RA books the better........
Lets be honest. In a population of 4.5million only getting 8,000 fans through the turnstills is a national embarassment. But Clyne got to keep his beloved team so it must have all been for a genuinely good cause.
Lets be honest here having 0.0017777778% of your cities population turn up to Rugby means it booming right? Right?
Spartan ignoring the crowd averages as they are right down across the board the Rebels have never had the membership and corporate take up the Force did.
When the two went head to head for the fourth team the Vic bid was horrendous. Thought they would get it on market size and prestige. No community support, stadium wasn't guaranteed (never saw Princes Park mentioned as a venue while the new stadium was being built) and no clear training facilities.
Had Kennet not got voted out it would have been different. Originally he wanted Docklands as a Soccer and Rugby venue as the seats are retractable however AFL was more viable so he would have had a back up to build a new stadium elsewhere. He went to Scotch College which has a strong Rugby presence and he pushed for the Bledisloe Cup games at the MCG.
And believe it or not Bakkies, they almost won the bid. If it wasnt for the satellite photo of community support in a force myriad they were lost. Thank fuck logic prevailed back then, too bad O'Neil, and then Clyne,Eales, Pulver, Robinson and co totally fucked Australian rugby properly and good. I hope we secede. I really do.
Now TWAS is saying that Unit trusts are a perfectly legal structure and common business practice. On top of this he said that no money has gone missing
They are until you fund the unit trust with insider trading. Not going to public market and selling the franchise to your mate who has a unit trust involved in numerous bankrupt ventures just to get them out of debt is not on. The money used to do this has been siphoned out of Australian Rugbys future, from professional development down to grassroots. Only about $33 million has been lost to Australian Rugby so his second statement is delusional but then again he is a multi personality flip flopper who talks shit to fulfill his out of control ego.
On a side note, i ventured over to GAGR to catch up on what they are talking about. What a waste of 5 mins of my time. Though i did notice that ole mate Rugby Reg has been dishing out ban warnings to Force supporters recently. The same naive fools making the same naive arguments, ignoring the fire while Rome burns. What a world we live in.
G@GR still banned. Come on Rugby Reg if your lurking on this forum talk to your mates and let there be a true national discussion of rugby issues!
I liked your '42 below' Bakkies..have to remember that one:hahaha:
