Sharpie needs to start if we are to win. Vicks brings good mongrel so on the bench for sure. See you next world cup Simmons - that will be your time
Sharpie is no good from the ruck. He isn't an impact player, he is a stayer, who will go same pace all game.
Vickermans works rate was massive, he was in everything, putting in some great tackles (one by jumping over a ruck). it is now a hard decision. I think deans wants a really mobile team, and sharpie isn't seen as that unfortunately.
I don't like having multiple lineout callers (ie vicks and simmons), i would prefer Horwill learn as he will be putting in 80mins. but it is probably too late for that. I wonder why he has never done it before. I know i am rubbish at talking in codes like that, so perhaprs that is it.
Would love to sharpie at least have a run, but im not to sure he will get the starting place back. Vick played great.
on another note, would love to see pococks stats on rucks.
Rocky, 19 tackles in 71 minutes. Pretty impressive and he is going to get better and better every game.
I'd like to see the stats on pilfers (don't think the score do that one) I thought Barnes was pretty much ignoring holding the ball and Bam still ripped two free that I remember. I don't know if anybody else got one!
Line outs will get better, that just practice...The Student was mean and ABs aren't comfortable with his physicality around the rucks... scrum was good... Kepu is getting better all the time... Ant Faingaa McCabe with AAC and Didby were solid in defence... Looks like the Brand could be shelved for a while...
Fair enough. But considering where he defends.........that one tackle was a pretty good one. That's not where the worry with him at is present. It's how absolutely chicken shit he seems when not taking contact in possession. Some of the others might need to take him behind the sheds and show him what'll happen if he doesn't grow some - fast.
Elsom 19 tackles, Pocock 19 tackles, Samo + McCalman 18 tackles. That's some impressive work-rate. Taking the captaincy off Elsom has worked! (Add in 28 tackles from the centres and the same from the locks.)
The stats also confirm that Alexander had a quiet game (I rarely saw him in open play) and Ioane had a quiet game by his standards. I'd like to see AF see more of the ball, and Vickerman to carry more, but overall not a bad showing. ;)
What does "Ruck" actually mean? pocock only hit 8 rucks all game? i don't think so.
Don't worry about Cooper
he is standing at 15 for set pieces
Ioane stands at 10 and he smashes people
Cooper takes the kicks and launches counter attack
It's a beautiful system
Cooper creates havoc in attack. He cut the blicks to shreds several times in the first 20 minutes
He's just got to stay on the field and cut out the niggly shit
