Mitch has made decent progress since Round 1 but I still don't think he is taking it to the line often or hard enough.
For his other faults the one aspect of Adam Ashley-Cooper's match last week was the way he ran the ball back so damn hard at the opposition and on most occassions got through.
Shep has previously shown the ability to do that, Mitchell hasn't.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one Burgs - Mitchell has attacked the line well when had the opportunity to do so. Those opportunitys have been few and far between (as discussed in the brilliantly written thread titled Conspiracy Theory). When Mitchell has had the ball he has done well with it.
Ok, I'll re word it, he has attempted it, but when he occassionally does in comparison to Adam A-C last week and Shep historically, it hasn't achieved very much and often results in turnovers.
It has been a feature of most Australian Fullbacks this season that they very rarely run it, which is why Adam A-Cs match really stood out to me for the season.
A couple of his runs he hit so hard I had to check that Rathbone hadn't found his way out of the stands and into a jersey!
I agree with Littleleck,Mitchell scored a try an under 11yo could have scored on Friday night.( the credit belongs to the no 10 for that try). You must be kidding supporting his inclusion at fullback - did you not notice how many times he has spilt the ball and or turned it over!!! He is not a fullback's bootlace. He cannot (repeat cannot) take a ball under pressure and how many sides will be watching that.did you notice how Shep's torps were superior kicks (only by about 40 mts!). Mitchell has to be related to Mitchell.
Great news about Pocock, I think he will now be a permanent inclusion in the starting 15 and will be a star.
Bad news is that Spanner is in the team sheet but is extremely doubtful. the Digby fans will get their chance this weekend - I'm tipping he will be in the run on.
Tough game coming up.
It's going to be a good game...
Diggers needs to put in a good game and reduce the handling errors that have blighted his game until now. If he can get rid of them, he is going to be a starting winger in the future. How old is he now? So he has a long time in front of him.
Pity that the game is on in the morning over here in the UK
Mr Beaver be the guru on that one Dramoth (i.e. Diggers age)

Welp, I'm heading home to get my force jersey and then off to the pub.
Have fun everyone. :approve:

No, you better do it first. ;)
*sigh*... oh this hanging up joke isn't getting old at all *cough*
