I'd like to take the opportunity to thank 60 Minutes for finding a complete idiot of a girl to be a 'typical' Gen-Yer for their story on 'Generation Debt'.
Yes Channel 9, everyone born since 1980 is an idiot. Thanks for reminding me. I'll just get back to my imaginary plasma screen and flashy car now.
guys who think they're all that when they are NOT
limewire not letting me download a funeral for a friend song... damn you limewire!
polynesians that think they own the dormitories at nudgee

I saw that too Swee... that dark haired girl was an absolute moron. How could she honestly be ok with having spent $82,500 on interest alone by the time she's 40 just so she can live such a lavish lifestyle? And who in their early 20s 'needs' a $60,000 BMW?!?
Just another cheap shot at our generation.
Though I am kinda glad I don't have a credit card right about now. :)
Yep- I mean those stories are on all the time (spend too much money/ won't leave home/ won't commit to anything/ attention span of a gnat).
If it were just parading one idiot on the tele it would be one with, but when they came out and said "she's typical of her generation" THEN I started yelling. ALOT.
There were some goodies in there:
"But I need a $60k BMW 'for emergencies'"
The chick who'd spent $9000 on televisions.
Refinancing the car loan to take "that other Gen-Y essential, the overseas holiday' (blood boiling again over that call)
Was also not loving when the girls were discussing their HECS debts (wow, you're $30,000 in debt???) and they waited till about 5 minutes later to point out they're a bit unavoidable unless your folks are cashed up. As much as alot of those people were idiots, I'm not going hold HECS debt up as an example of proliferagacy (is that a word?)
having no sleep since sayurday night. getting to brisbane and going to site. then we go to the place where we were meant to be staying only to find that the client didnt book our accomodation...
I WANT SLEEP!
but, we might end up staying at the novotel in brissy now... gotta wait and see
Has the phrase "inadvertent rearguard cockblock" been invented yet? Cos I think I may be the victim of one :(
My car insurance premium going up 23% this year*, and that's before I've told them the new place only has a carport, not a garage. Looks like I get to go premium shopping. Woo. Hoo.
*for the record, not because I hit anything, lost licence points, or made a claim.
Bloody car insurance! Check out http://payasyoudrive.com.au/ and check the online quote system - it would cut my bill in half, although I've yet to do anything about it ...
