End of day one - quite a good score by Australia.
Me thinks I have picked the perfect job for a cricket fanatic... working 8 til 1 egt home just in time for the after lunch session :P
watched up until Lunch then had an exam - pretty average day for England
only shining light was Flintoff looks alright after his injury!
still a long way to go though
What would Nelson do Luke?
I could be finding myself in the corporate surroundings of the Gabba on sunday :P
with his blind eye he would become an umpireQuote:

The way the pitch is opening up I reckon 500 will be enough for Australia in this Test.

this is disappointing!
and these are various quotes from the LIVE SCORECARD from cricinfo.com
'Not sure what the authorities have out in the beer, but the crowd are spookily quiet'
'Even our Boonie and Beefy figures have dropped off'
'The lack of noise could be because the Barmy Army have been split up by the killjoys who spend the rest of their time puncturing the inflatable balls which come from the stands'
First up, I must say that the Barmy Army (and especilly the participants who don't even know the sport) really sh*t me at Test Matches.
HOWEVER!!!!
I agree that it is very dissapointing that this mob of nutters who have in good faith put their hard earned forward to have a given experience that was underwritten by their representitives actually flying out to talk with the ACB back in May and get permission for activities are now faced with this kind of treatment.
I can understand them being pretty pissed and it is very un-Australian of whoever is reasponsible to go back on your word and to be so kill-joy.
I have a feeling there may be an ego issue behind it all somewhere between the ACB, QCB and/or the Gabba, with our guests being caught in the middle of it, but that is just a hunch.
Poor form anyway

can add character to the sport.
can u only enjoy something when you have a good knowledge of it?
and not trying to pick any arguements but in MY opinion and MY interests there is not much else to do in Perth so sometimes sporting events are the best option of entertainment.
you need rival supporters to add to the atmosphere, a test match can sometimes get a bid boring with out banter with the barmy army, lets hope there not split up in perth.
