Shepherd better start fullback next game, drew mitchell cost us the match tonight.......
Drew played shithouse! I'm gutted... feel like breaking something...
Shaun that's the exact same word i said after the game.........gutted! While im not keen to make a dig at a force player, i 've always thought they should've at least started Mitchell on the wing and Shepherd at full back for a few matches or until Mitchell settles in, when they recruited him last year. Hopefully now he's had his baptism of fire, he'll play well. Bloody proud of Henners tonight. He needed to deliver and i thought he played outstanding.
I don't like to bag; but there is a time and place for it. Drew did play a crap game that it the truth. Henjak was great second best to only Gits.
You must have been sitting near a mate of mine, who rang me straight after the match to ask that very question!
...and there we all were thinking Digby couldn't catch.:verysad:
message to drew mitchell, " at half time drew, instead of going back to the change rooms please stay on the pitch! our good friends at emirates have a new half time game called catch the ball, the team that won it got 7 from 10 what was your score in tonights game? and on another point, please in future don't kick the ball, leave that to sheps!" regards slomo
Drew was absolutely woeful....Infact he was SHITHOUSE!!!!
Shepard back to full back next game, Digby into the team and Drew left in Perth Farkin!
I think that is the general consensus right now Peterss, but I say we still give Drew a go in SA, maybe he can get his game back together?Quote:

He was absolutely woeful and it was the worse game by a force player since we have started in my books....We cant keep people in for having bad games - Drop them so they realise they just cant have an easy ride in the team. We have reserve players who can come in and take their place if players dont perform.
Ok, good point, that changes my views a bit. Force the players to perform...good point.
just got in from wembley hotel, gutted
my first quote after the game was Mitchell is the new Henjak.
you stole my line!
Anyway very distressed, not necessarily by the loss but by the way we lost.
Could harp on about Sheperd and Staniforth being moved from their ideal spots but wont
My feelings in the build up have always been to worry about our forward quality.
seemed to be the case tonight that our forwards were very poor
Most of all our performance nearly all round was guttless, (Gis and surprisingly Henjak excepted)
To lose to an understrength team at home, and to score no points, or even look like scoring in second half is a big let down.
Need to regroup, put Gits at 10 from start, Stani back at twelve, Sheps at 15 and fill in the gaps.
I thought Cross looked weak on the pass, maybe not surprisingly with his league background.
Where was Junio ???
Kudos to "the Rooster". He was one of our better players on the night. His sniping runs were a highlight but his passing still left a bit to be desired. Drew, on the other hand, was simply awful. The baton may well have been passed.
They've talked about competition for places this year so Drew should be sitting in his no.1's next week ,also need extra speed to the breakdowns so maybe two fetchers next week brown/pocock combo.
Here here! Nice posts all - couldn't agree more!
Our scrums weak
Our line-outs wobbly
and our back line couldn't control to ball to save themselves
Luckily the defensively line did a good job and secured the bonus point otherwise it could have been a blow-out.
Well done to Henjak - my heart went to my mouth when, at about the 3 minute mark he got caught on the pass, but from then on out he did well and broke the line a few times.
I was working last night but every time i looked at tv he was doing something wrong!
